AKIRA #1-38 Complete EPIC Set. This is the full set of the English version, in color, of the historical AKIRA Manga. This set is extremely challenging to assemble. Especially, the final two issues. Of course #1 and #2 are first printings.

The condition of this set is truly stunning. I say this as I have assembled 20 complete high grade sets and I cherrypicked the BEST CONDITION issues of each book number to assemble this near mint set. I've passed over 19 other #38's to select this as the best one! Overall, these books have an unread appearance with tight spines, crisp pages and sharp corners. Maybe #3 has a couple tiny spots of scuffing on the back but the vast majority show no signs of any wear.

Update: I did acquire a better #3 without the minor scuffing. Without the risk of photographing the entire set, I'll happily send photos of the new #3, to those interested, as it looks just as good as the others. This book will be the one included in the set.

If you would like a closer inspection of any issue(s), I'll be happy to take any close up shots. I did take these photos with the books out of the sleeves so you could see the true condition of each issue; front and back and spine.

I spent an hour taking these photos as I carefully slid each book out and back in WITH the board to avoid friction and scuffing. I placed the issues on a plush blanket for the photo shoot and have stored these books in bags and boards in a comic book box in a dark and dry closet. I will package these in 4 bubble wrapped bundles with #37 and #38 in the middle of one bundle for maximum protection.
