Mostly text with some illustrations. Each issue runs about 30 pages.
Missing issues 25, 26, 28 and 94. Finding a set as complete is certainly a challenge. A great collection for pulp history buffs, ready to be enjoyed with a bit of whisky or wine as we travel back to read what was on the stands almost 100 years ago. Little is known about writer Grace Allen Hardy but she did make it to 110 issues to finish the tale, so in that there is some success. There are 2 different covers of the first issue included.
One of them is likely the newsstands and dealers try out. It continues to use the same cover for the rest of the issues with some coloring differences. The condition is low grade. Many of the covers and pages have darkened, a good portion have a brittleness about them. Rips and tears here and there.
It was the pulp age and there's a reason not many of these survived. A few have replacement covers. If you're interested in scanning or reprinting these you'd probably have to do so with great care. Each issue is in a bag and board and comes with 8 custom cases so you can have them right on the shelf. The cases have the issue numbers towards the bottom.
